Over the years, I’ve tried repeatedly to design my own version of the Talmud, whose form and rigor I admire so much I purchased multiple volumes of large-format books from a series I wanted to learn (i.e., steal) from. I even had a brilliant friend (Chinese!) in the graphics consulting business design me a fill-in template, but it got lost in one of my computer crashes years ago. Let’s just say I’m aware of cultural debts that cannot ever be repaid, only honored if we can figure out how…
So far, I’ve mostly wallowed…
