Received my $67 computer on April 1. Worked up the nerve to open it up and try to get it operational at 2 am yesterday. It has significantly more RAM and disk capacity than the nearly maxed-out iPad I’ve been using for several years now. Also on April 1, finally got through to Blue Host/Wordpress with a new card number, resulting in the return online of Shuteye Town and two huge websites.
So the fool has been turned loose again for another go-round with the TekLords. The new machine is operational enough to use already, though I haven’t finished learning how to work the mouse and external keyboard, which are not immediately necessary. What I did this morning was rough up an outline for a Kindle book to prepare in this device and its sophisticated PDF freeware. Successfully transferred and formatted files for the first 36 pages. Not showing any of it to anyone yet, but here’s the update of a cover I’ve been holding in abeyance for longer than I like to admit…
We’ll see how it goes. It will acquire its own momentum because it’s the right next project or it won’t. Certainly nothing much is distracting me in the news at the moment. Beginning to look like we’ll be getting the country we deserve and what we deserve is as sad and ominous as the barely conscious are usually able to earn.
As always, I’ll be working for the Nexters who come after me.
Do I assign any significance to these dates? Yes. I’m also used to the mixed messages I get from the universe. References to the Fool and the fate of the Anointed don’t scare me none…
